Davis Chamber names new executive director
Carrie Rohrback was an assistant store director at Nugget Markets
The Davis Chamber of Commerce on Friday announced the selection of Carrie Rohrbach as its new executive director. She began her role on Tuesday, according to Bobbi Vaughn, director of events and communication.
A Davis native, Rohrbach “brings a wealth of local knowledge and a strong network of community connections to her new role,” a Chamber news release said.
According to Rohrbach’s LinkedIn profile, she is a former assistant store director at Nugget Markets. I recognize her from the Covell store.
Miriam Dougherty, board chair, commended the selection. “Carrie brings a fresh perspective and strong commitment to revitalizing and renewing the Chamber’s dedication to the local business community.”
The Chamber has been without an executive director since January, when it announced Cory Koehler’s decision to leave. He started as its ED in March 2019. Larry Green served as interim executive director from February through May.
“(Rohrbach’s) strategic plans involve enhancing our partnerships with the city of Davis and UC Davis, while fostering more personal connections with our valued members,” Dougherty continued. “We are excited about the vision and leadership she brings to the Chamber. This marks a new chapter for the Chamber, and we look forward to the positive impact Carrie will have on our organization and in the community.”
