I think this column is no longer available online on the Davis Enterprise, in any form -- at least I could not find it when I looked. (That terrible website is one reason that I think moving away from print is big mistake for the DE).
Yes, I discovered that on Thursday. I thought they just blocked it from their top 5 trending stories but tried to search and it wasn't there. It was in the paper (edited) but they removed it online. The owners are also mad that I took the column name, even though I got written permission from the editor. We'll see if they fight it.
Wow, so now they add pettiness (removing your article from the website) to their list of bad behaviors. I definitely remember seeing it on their trending stories -- I seem to recall it was the top trending story. I hope they don't fight you on using the name you created and the recognition and respect that you built.
I imagine you have the paper copy of your article, but just in case not, we still have it.
I've been a subscriber to The Enterprise since I moved here 22 years ago. I believe a local paper is essential to keep up with all the comings and goings that 'glues' one to their surroundings. I'm so glad you and Bob will continue to write all we need to know to truly be part of this wonderful town. I'd follow you both anywhere.
Thank you for telling us how the newspaper system works. I had no idea that this is how you and other columnists were treated. Your column meant a lot to me, keeping me informed about the Davis business community on a regular basis. Now I’m happy to be able to continue following you since you left that newspaper. I’m sorry that you and others were treated so badly and because of that treatment, the paper might fail to exist. Our community needs to have a local newspaper but not at the expense of hard working and dedicated workers. Congratulations on making a good change and showing us how good it is.
Hi Wendy,
I wish you well in your new adventure. Moreover, I applaud you and your colleagues who resigned after the reprehensible treatment of Bob.
Mary Lee Ganzer
You go girl 😊

Thanks so much, Diane!

Thanks, Judy! The community's support has been amazing.
