I like the Pizza Twist near my office. Good, tasty vegan options. The Taco Twist does not. They are franchises and each design their own menu. I recommend checking them out for new flavor combos!

Great to see Round Table return. Trivia question: name the 4 locations where there has been a Round Table in Davis. 1. Target Center . . . ? ? ?

{I hope RT offers vegan cheese someday}

I know but I will let others answer. The first one was a long time ago, probably before my column started in 2001.

OK. No one bit: It was on G Street, where Kathmandu Kitchen is today.

Yup. In about '76 or '77 I was traveling on Amtrak with four friends from the Bay Area who were biking down the coast from Oregon (I was continuing on by rail). The Coast Starlight went north out of Davis back then, along H Street, bypassing Sacramento. There was little food on the train ("We got cheese" (sandwiches) the lounge attendant said). We arrived a little early into Davis. We jumped off the train and ran over to the Round Table, which I knew about because my sister had lived there in college. We asked the Round Table guys for 'anything you can make in five minutes'. Burgers was the answer. As we got near departure time, I said I had to go back to the train, as all my stuff was on board and I had a connecting train in Seattle. My friend Dean stayed behind to get the burgers. I joined our other friends and we looked forlornly as there was no sign of Dean as we cleared 3rd Street. After a few minutes, and us all wondering what to do, here comes Dean, bags in hand, conductor chasing him and scolding him. He had run for the train as the horn blew, and ran in front of the engines at 3rd Street as they started to creep forward. He then ran down to the baggage car, just behind the engines, and found the door open and threw the burgers in and tried to climb in, but the baggage man tried to push him off. He yelled that he already had a seat, and the guy let him climb in and go back to the coaches. We were happy to see Dean, and to see the burgers.
